VALLEY VIEW CASINO & HOTEL PROMOTES EXECUTIVE CHEF ASHLEY ARCHER
TO DIRECTOR OF FOOD AND BEVERAGE
(Valley Center, CA) – January 3, 2014 – Valley View Casino & Hotel has promoted Executive Chef Ashley Archer, leader in the food and beverage industry, to the Director of Food and Beverage. Ashley is known for his leadership, emphasis on guest and team member relations and passion for excellence. Archer has been the Executive Chef at Valley View Casino & Hotel for the past three years and brings years of impressive experience to the table.

"Ashley has been an incredible member of our team as a coach, mentor and leader during his tenure here and we knew he was the right person to take on the role as Director of Food and Beverage," said Howard Silver, Vice President of Food and Beverage. "We look forward to seeing him further develop his talents in this role and make our already outstanding Food and Beverage department even better."

Archer's responsibilities as Food and Beverage Director include the oversight of the culinary division in addition to expanding to the front of the house operations.

"It has been an incredible journey over the past three years and I cannot thank the incredibly talented Food and Beverage team at Valley View enough for allowing me the chance to grow as a person and a leader."

Over the past three years as the Executive Chef, Archer has overseen all seven of Valley View Casino & Hotel's dining venues including the famous all-you-can-eat Maine lobster buffet. Prior to joining Valley View Casino & Hotel in 2011, Ashley was the Executive Chef at Ameristar Casino and Hotel's East Chicago, Vicksburg and Kansas City properties as well as at the Westin Philadelphia. He is the recipient of the prestigious Mobil Four Diamond Award and is the only chef to have placed in every category at Mississippi's state culinary competition. Archer also had a hand in the first James Beard Foundation charity event held outside of Las Vegas, in which funds were raised for culinary scholarships.
