VALLEY VIEW CASINO HIRES HOWARD SILVER AS VP OF FOOD & BEVERAGE
(VALLEY CENTER, CA) February 26, 2009 – Valley View Casino recently announced the addition of Howard Silver as its new vice president of food and beverage.

Howard has over 20 years of experience in food and beverage operations. Prior to joining Valley View Casino, Howard served as vice president of culinary operations at Ameristar Casinos where he was responsible for over seven properties, 42 restaurants and over 5,000 team members. A graduate from the Culinary Institute of America, his previous experience includes 12 years at Park Place Entertainment as executive chef where he opened and operated restaurants at three major casino resorts in Laughlin and Reno, Nevada. Additionally, Howard served as executive chef at the Reno Hilton.

In his new role, Howard will oversee all the award-winning restaurants at Valley View Casino including Black&Blue, recipient of the 10 News A-List award's Best Steakhouse; The Buffet, consistently named San Diego's "Best Buffet" by local and trade publications; and BLD's, a 24-hour café featuring all American favorites and authentic Asian cuisine. Silver will also oversee the Black&Blue Lounge, the Main Stage Bar and the non-smoking casino bar; Snax, a gourmet snack shop; Sweets, a European-style espresso and homemade pastry shop; Scoops, which features decadent homemade gelato and the casinos outdoor concert dining venue.
